NourishNYC and Project Feel Present…
ART IN THE PARK 2021

Art in the Park is an arts festival that started in 2020 curated by and for Black and Brown New Yorkers. When deciding on a theme for this year’s events, we reflected on how exhausting the reopening of NYC and, for many of us, returning to work has been, and decided that we wanted to create a space for ourselves and other Queer Black and Brown people to make art, to dance, and, most importantly, to rest.
Please join NourishNYC & Project Feel at Marcus Garvey Park on Saturday, July 10, 2021, from 11A-6P for a day of meditation, painting, writing, music, games, and food. Please RSVP here so that we can ensure we are as prepared as possible for the event and for contact-tracing purposes.

What is Art In The Park?
Art In The Park was created in 2020 by Nichelle Antonia, Yuraika Bloomfield, and Jalyssa Jimenez with NourishNYC as the sponsor.
In 2021, Art in the Park became a part of NourishNYC’s programming. Together the team decided to expand Art in the Park from being a singular event to an annual summer-long festival of the arts.
The 2021 theme of Art in the Park is rest. If there’s one thing living through a pandemic has reminded us, it’s that we all need and deserve more time to care for ourselves and each other. We need more dream spaces. We need more spaces to imagine. To simply exist.
Art in the Park is one of the ways that we hope to facilitate the creation of more dream spaces for Black and Brown people.
